A. EINSTEIN’s watch was auctioned with a sky-high price

The Longines worn by A. EINSTEIN in 1930’s was sold in the Antiquorum auction recently. The auction used to expect that this watch would be auctioned with a price of 35,000USD, while it was eventually stricken a bargain with a price of 520,000 USD (it is 596,000 USD in total including the auction fee), which is nearly 20 times as the expected price. It is so high that makes a record on the Longines auction history.

A. EINSTEIN’s watch
This 14K gold wrist watch is carved with “PROF ALBERT. EINSTEIN, LOS ANGELES, Feb.16.1931″ on the back. According to the information from Antiquorum auction, this watch was made by Longines in 1930, and was given to the great scientist A. EINSTEIN as a gift. Its white watch dial is printed with big Arab numbers, which is specially made for A. EINSTEIN who is poor in eyesight.
